Six meter tall square fountain column with St. Mary and Child on the top. Below her four trumpet-blowing heralds. On the flanks scenes from Westerholt's history. These motifs were selected and created together with Westerholter citizens; among them are spinners and lions, witches and village fires, herald and a Kiepenkerl. At the foot sit four figures.
At the top four hornblowers, referring to the Martins-Bläser, a horn group founded in 1958 by Dr. Deitmer. |
