Lambert Vlemynck (1443-1531)
mint master in the early 16th century for several towns in the Low Countries and Westphalia. He was executed in 1531 for counterfeiting.

MINT MASTER
was created by the Osnabrück
sculptor Hans Gerd Ruwe
in 1990 at the occasion of
the 125th anniversary of the
district savings bank of the county of Diepholz

The bronze sculpture
refers to the coinage of the
lords of Diepholz,
the later
Counts of Diepholz
and their mint master
Lambert Vlemynck
