Description

A couple of peasants sitting on a bench: the man shows his empty purse to his wife, 'Schau Alte, das ganze Geld ist weg' - (Look, dear, all our money is gone)

Annotation

The state was placed at the entrance of the Kreis (district) Building, until it was removed in 2005. Later, it was loaned to the Equestrian Tourism Center in Timmel, but due to the vigorous protests of the citizens of Aurich it came back to the city and is since 2009 located in front of the Historical Museum of Aurich.

Sculptor

Friedrich Büschelberger (Dresden 1904 - Titisee/Neustadt 1990), German sculptor (Wikipedia).
