Memorial on the former St. Nikolai cemetery for the poet Ludwig Hölty, designed by Otto Lüer and Karl Gundelach, dating from 1901. It shows a pedestal with a vase, flanked by a mourning young man, a lyra and books. The portrait medaillon is a copy made in 1961 by Sötebier

Christoph Heinrich
On the base his name and a memorial verse by Nikolaus Lenau:
L.Ch.H. Hölty
geb. zu Mariensee am 21. Dezbr. 1748
gest. zu Hannover 1 Septbr. 1776.
Hölty dein Freund, der Frühling, ist gekommen.
Klagend mit er im Haine, dich zu finden,
Doch umsonst! sein klagender Ruf verhallt in
Einsamen Schatten!
