Description

Sculpture of a lion on a 4.5 meter high column with four reliefs, unveiled on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the death of Heinrich der Löwe (Henry the Lion), the founder of the city.

The column has four reliefs representing in a satirical way four episodes of the life of Henry the Lion, in front of each reliefs stands a low stone with the caption of the relief - two other stones give the name of teh monument and the name of the donating bank:
