Description

Nine ceramic reliefs.
Three at the first floor show scenes from the history of the town with captions in Low German:

Fürst Borwin I / Prince Borwin I; "Tau Ritter Borwins Tiden / würd manch eens ook anscheten"
Rostocker im Mittelalter / The medieval Rostock burghers: "De Börgerslüd würn bannig riek / vorn lewen Gott seggt de Paster / sünd alle gliek" (The citizens became very richt, for the dear God, says the pastor, all are equal).
Post-war house building: "Vel Hüsung brukt de nige Stadt / de Rat dorüm sin Sorgen hell. The relief shows Mayor Henning Scheiff, and next to him the town's architect Peter Baumbach with a model of the house in Eversbach; to the left Heinz Koch, first secretary of the SED.
