Description
Bronze statue of Reuter sitting in a chair with a book on his knee. The statue is in the center of a stone bench with eight panels with openwork reliefs showing scenes with 45 figures from his novels. On the pedestal of the statue and on the both ends of the bench are numerous small square reliefs with figures, animals and flowers.
The depicted scenes are:
- festungstid - Ut mine Festungstid: De Musjagd, Fritzing, de Platzmajor, de Holländerie.
- franzosentid - Ut de Franzosentid: Möller Voß un de Schoffür, Mamsell Westphalen, Herr Droik, de mit den Himmel dalbraken is, nu kümmt de französisch Oberst.
- stromtid - Ut mine Stromtid: Jochen Nüßler un sin Fru, Unkel Bräsig mit Lining und Mining, Havemann.
- kein hüsung - Kein Hüsung: Johann un sin Herr, Johann un sin Marik, Marik un ehr Kind un ehr Nahwersch.
- hanne nüte - Hanne Nüte: Hanne un sin Vadding un Mudding, de Bäcker un de lütte Pudel.
- reis' nah belligen - De Reis nah Belligen: Sei bewunnern den Portier as König vun Portulak.
- läuschen un rimels - Läuschen un Riemels: Dei Fulheit, Jochen Päsel, wat sall de Gaus kosten.
- dörchläuchting - Dörchläuchting: Stining un de Löper Wilhelm Halsband, Kägebein, de Hofpoet, Dörchläuchting, de Konrektor un de Christelswester.
