Limestone lion. The inscriptions are renewed in 1980, to included the studens fallen during World War II.

On the other side of the socle is the text (no photo made):
"Löwenfigur gestiftet zum 400. Gründungsjubiläum der Philipps-Universität im Jahre 1927."
