Statue of Sophie of Brabant (or Sophie of Thuringia) holding her infant son Henry in her hands. At her feet sits a monkey holding a plate with several town views of Marburg.
The statue stands on an octagonal base, with on the eight faces 'chambers' with small statues and reliefs depicting various scenes, which scenes is not clear to us. There are numerous small human figures, animals, coins, seals, etc. added.
