Description

Bronze statue of a market woman holding a mask in her hand, and a basket with a duck.

The medieval poet Wolfram von Eschenbach mentioned in his work Parzifal the market women ("koufwip") from Dollnstein, which especially during carnival got crazy (German 'doll' is 'crazy'). For this reason, this monument is erected in Dollnstein. It is every year during the "Fountain Festival" on Shrove Tuesday the center of the Carnival season of Dollnstein women. The little woman on the fountain got in 1992 the name Karolina Kunigonde.
