Description

Stone lion on a plinth. On the sides of the plinth are relief portraits, the text 'FELDZUG 1870/71' and the names of the 88 men who took part in the Franco-Prussian war of 1870-71. On the front is the coat of arms.
The portraits are of:
  1. König Ludwig II. von Bayern (München 1845-in the Starnberger See 1886), King of Bavaria, 1864-1886 (Wikipedia).
  2. Kaiser Wilhelm I - (Berlin 1797 - id. 1888), King of Prussia (since 1861) and German Emperor (since 1861) (Wikipedia).
