Sophocles (Σοφοκλῆς) (c. 497/6 BCE - winter 406/5 BCE)[1] was the second of the three ancient Greek tragedians whose work has survived (Wikipedia).

Marcus Tullius Cicero (106- 43 BC), Roman philosopher, statesman, lawyer, political theorist, and Roman constitutionalist (Wikipedia).

Johann Andreas Schmeller (Tirschenreuth 1785- München 1852), German philologist who initially studied the Bavarian dialect. From 1828 until his death he taught in the University of Munich (Wikipedia).

Friedrich Wilhelm von Thiersch (Kirchscheidungen bei Freyburg 1784-München 1860), German philologist (Wikipedia)
