Sphere with the name Schiller on the back of a dove carrying a scroll and flanked by two women with a scroll and a mask respectively. In the lower part depictions of the constellations Cancer and Taurus.

Annotation

The first Schiller statue in Germany, unveiled 8 May 1839. About its origin wrote Thorwaldsen's compatriot Hans Christian Andersen the fairy tales, Die alte Kirchenglocke (the old church bell).
