Description

Basin with a semicircular wall. In the middle sits the goddess of fate with outstretched arms lying on the wall. Her hands are closed, because they hold the fate of the people hidden in them. At the both ends are two pairs of lovers, symbolizing joy and sorrow.

Annotation

Donndorf created the fountain in memory of the German-Swiss opera singer Anna Sutter, who was murdered in 1910 by a former lover.
