Statues - Hither & Thither

 

Description

Four allegories of sovereign's virtues adorned the facades of the Denkmalskirche (Memorial Church), the northern extension of the cathedral. In 1945 damaged and not restored, theb remnants of which were removed in 1975. They are now in niches on the north and east facades.

Sculptures at the Berlin Cathedral

The Berlin Cathedral has an extensive sculpture program which is shown on this website in seven different pages.

We visited the Cathedral on 31 August 2022. Because of construction works it was not possible to make photos of several of the statues.

• Bronze Doors at the Main Portal,
• Mosaic "Sermon on the Mount" in the Main Portal,
