Description

Large dove on the wall between the words berlin stadt des friedens (Berlin, city of peace).
The title 'City of Peace' was awarded to Berlin in 1979 by the chairman of the World Peace Council, the Indian Romesh Chandra. The golden (now almost black) dove is based on a design by Picasso. After the reunification of Berlin, the title was not adopted by the representatives of West Berlin for the whole of Berlin.
