Marble statue of Schiller on a low pedestal, with two reliefs, showing
- Schiller gets a lyre of the Muses
- the great poets from earlier times.

The pedestal is equipped with a fountain with lion heads and shells as gargoyles, but is not used as well. On the edge of the shells four allegorical female figures are placed, with which the main work areas of the poet are symbolized:
- Dichtkunst / Poetry, with a gooseneck harp
- Tragödie / Tragedy, originally provided with a dagger and mask, only the mas is still present
- Geschichte / History, writing on a tablet, and at here foot other tablets on which the names of Lessing, Kant, Goethe and Schiller alongside other celebrities are listed,
- Philosophie / Philosophy, with in her hand a scroll with the Greek text, Γνώθι σαυτόν (Know thyself).

A bronze cast of the statue is in the Schillerpark in Berlin-Wedding.
