Description

Bronze statue of Escher, on a high red granite pedestal with several bronze figures:
  1. (front) Allegory of railway planning: man with a Swiss flag sitting on a rock, inscribed 'Gotthard'
  2. (back) Allegory of education: sitting woman with a boy offering a laural wreath to Escher.
  3. (sides, two identical groups) Putti with dragons spouting water.
