Type of water nymph (female spirit) who presided over fountains, wells, springs, streams, brooks and other bodies of fresh water
Outside the WIPO building, just below the conference room, water cascades into a pool from a 65 meter wide fountain which is graced with two nymphs originally sculptured by the 16th century Florentine sculptor Gimabologna.
