Statue of Chist the Redeemer with spread out arms. The statue of masonry has a height of 11.8 meters - the head measures 1.8 m and the rest of the body 10 m. Its base occupies an area of 4 m2 and is 1.2 m high. The length of the arms, comprising the distance between the tip of the middle finger and the other end, is 13.5 m. Each hand has is 1.3 m.
The body of the statue is supported by four columns and the arms by beams in two columns and its interior is hollow.
The design of the statue was carried out by the engineer Mozar Moreira da Silva, the structural calculations were executed by the engineer Domingos Baré and the part of masonry by Raimundo Ribeiro. The structure was built on the site and the hands and head were carved by João Scuotto.
