Description

Bronze bust in the hall of the Colégio Izabela Hendrix. This methodist college is founded by Martha Hite Watts (1845-1909) in 1904 and probaly named after Isabel Jane Murray (1820-1909), wife of Adam Hendrix, and parents of the methodist bishop Eugene Russell Hendrix (1847-1827).

Next to the bust on the wall is the quotation:

'Tudo o que fiz foi para a honra e glória de Deus' - Miss Martha Hyte Watts, Fundadora do Izabela Hendrix
transl. 'All what I did was to the honor and glory of God'.
