Praça Raul Soares
Monumento a Oscar Niemeyer
Monument to Oscar Niemeyer
Oscar Ribeiro de Almeida Niemeyer Soares Filho
Rio de Janeiro 1907 - Rio de Janeiro 2012
Brazilian architect considered to be one of the key figures in the development of modern architecture
Stone stele with at the front a relief showing a rather damaged face and some appartment blocks, at the back a crane and a man and woman, and at the right side the St. Francis of Assisi church of Pampulha.
Because of the relief of the Pampulha church we suppose it is a monument for its architect, Oscar Niemeyer.
