    1. (center) St. Aubain? - unclear which saint is meant. One would expect the patron saint of the cathedral, St. Alban of Mainz, but the iconography is not that of St. Alban, but looks more like Saint-Cloud (Clodoald).
    2. (left) Mose (Hebrew: מֹשֶׁה‎), Biblical figure, religious leader, lawgiver, and prophet, to whom the authorship of the Torah is traditionally attributed (Wikipedia).
    3. (right) David (c. 1040-970 BCE), second king of the United Kingdom of Israel, and an ancestor of Jesus (Wikipedia)
  2. Two statues on niches at the sides of the central bay

    1. St. Paul
    2. St. Pierre / St. Peter
The apostles Peter and Paul are often depicted together. In Catholic tradition, Peter is said to have founded the church in Rome with Paul, served as its bishop, authored two epistles, and then met martyrdom there along with Paul.
  3. Statues of Christ and the four evangelists at the top of the façade.

one of the twelve Apostles of Jesus and one of the four Evangelists. His attribute is an angel. As patron saint of book-keepers, tax collectors and security forces, he is also depicted with writing utensils (Wikipedia).
    3. Christ.
    4. St. Jean et l'aigle - St. John the Evangelist with an eagle,
conventional name for the author of the Gospel of John - considered to be the same person as John the Apostle (Wikipedia).

one of the four Evangelists. His attribute is an ox or bull, usually having wings (Wikipedia).
