Description

Reliëf in het fronton van het oude stadhuis van Bree met centraal de stadspatroon Sint-Michiel die de duivel (het kwaad) verslaat.
Centraal onder Sint-Michiel staat het wapen van Oostenrijk - Bree behoorde toen tot de Oostenrijkse Nederlanden. Het wapen links is dat van Theodoor van Beieren, de toenmalige prinsbisschop van Luik en rechts dat van de stad Bree.

Relief in the pediment of the old town hall of Bree with in the center the town patron Saint Michael who defeats the devil (evil).
Central under Saint Michael is the coat of arms of Austria - Bree then belonged to the Austrian Netherlands. The coat of arms on the left is that of Theodor of Bavaria, the then Prince-Bishop of Liège, and on the right that of the city of Bree.
