Description

The Renaissance style church was built from 1720-1726 to the design of Laurenz Mefferdatis. The façade was significantly modified by Lambert von Fisenne in the early 20th century. The three statues in niches in the façade were made in Wilhelm Pohl' s workshop in 1897.

Wilhelm Pohl (Aachen 1841 - Aachen 1909), German sculptor, ran a sculpture workshop in Aachen from around 1872, and from 1891 in partnership with Carl Esser (Wikipedia).
