Fountain with a quadrangular pedestal, cut in red granite, resting in a large circular stone basin. The pedestal is decorated with four shell bowls placed on vertical volutes. A second curved pedestal was placed on top of it, supporting commemorative plaques with texts (see below), dolphins and masks with human faces in niches. The latter allow the water to flow into the basins. Above this second pedestal stands a fluted column terminated by a volute capitus which supports a standing lion bearing the coat of arms of Belgium. At the foot of the column is a bronze bust of Pierre David and three flags on stems, on the front of the bust's console is the coat of arms of the town of Verviers.
