Description

Large fountain. In a circular basin stands a cast iron central column with two scales. Between the upper and lower scale stand four allegorical figures, probably representing four rivers.

The central column is adorned with putti and fish. In the basin around the central column are eight tritons with fish and shell (two different designs).

The firm of Durenne exposed the fountain at the world exhibition of 1873 in Vienna, where it was bought by the town of Graz.

Sculptor

Jean-Baptiste Jules Klagmann (Paris 1810 - Paris 1867), French sculptor.
