Standing statue of Columbus, dressed in period costume of the 15th century including a hat, stands holding a map with his right hand and an astrolabe over his left hip.
Louis Regalbuto, the sculptor, is Knight of Columbus of Gilmour Council 310 in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Regalbuto presented two small models of the statue to his council, one of which now stands at the entrance to the council home.
