Annotation

The statue was ceremoniously presented to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in the South End of Boston. This huge statue overpowered its site and in the 1920s it was discretely relocated to its present site outside St. Anthony's Church in Revere in order to equally balance a statue of St. Anthony which stand on the opposite side of the church. The statue was donated by the Knights of Columbus.
The photo shows the statue in Boston, where it was until the 1920s.
