Description
Bronze mast boom and sail on a pedestal made of two round elements of white marble and "bardiglio" (marble a little heavenly/gray with the function of basin) and a third square one on it like a ship.

Engraved on the middle one the words of the 90 year old poet Mario Luzi:
QUALE VIAGGIO TI HANNO DATO I VENTI ....

Annotation
The sculptor Giorgio (Giò) Pomodoro (*1930) was commissioned for his sculpture on 14 December 2000.
When I visited the town in August 2001, there was no monument yet (see Chiavari).
