Description
Statue of a rather young Columbus.
Inscription(s)
On the base:
A
C. COLOMBO
1892.
Annotation
The marble statue was originally placed aside the town hall in 1892, on top of a 3 meter high column. Since 1950 the statue - without the column - stands in the public garden facing the sea. The left hand is gone for some time. Presently, the monument is on the end of the pier in front of the Church.
