Annotation
The American Evangelisation Cross - placed in a side wall inside the ex-Collegiate Church - is a perfect replica of the cross Pope John Paul II carried over to the American continent in His pastoral visit of 1992. Monsignor Carlos Amigo, Archbishop of Seville, brought it in name of the Pope, on October 12th, 1993, during a ceremony where thirteen bishops from America and Spain, over 200 priests and more than five thousand people were present.
