Description

Over the main of door of the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor (or Templo del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús del Tibidabo) is this colorful mosaic, with several saints, among others Saint Lawrence, martyr who died burned on a gridiron; the basilica of Our Lady of El Pilar, in Zaragoza as it was 100 years ago. In the second row, we can see Christopher Columbus in front of the Catholic Kings of Spain, Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon.

Annotation

The church was built 1902 - 1911 by Eric Sagnier. The mosaic at the front door was inaugurated 17 June 1955.
