Description

Stone statue of Columbus in a high column. Between the column and the plaform of the statue is a globe, with an exaggerated map of the Canary Islands. On the base are texts and reliefs. Front:

At the top a mask with the year "(MDII)" and at the bottom some cactuses and an anchor with the year "(MMVI)"

Back: Representations of Columbus' fleet with the text "MARE INCOGNITA" At the sides texts in Spanish and English.
