Annotation

Oriental Green Boat juvenile education and recreational center is located on the south-west part of Qingpu district of Shanghai, adjacent to the Dianshan Lake. The park Oriental Green Boat consists of eight sections such as Knowledge Avenue, bravery and wisdom section, national defense education section, survival-challenge section, science-exploring section, aquatic sports section, physical training section and life-practice section.

Along the Wisdom Avenue is a series of statues of famous persons. Among others (all photographed by lachrimea7): Bi Sheng, Qi Jiguang, Gu Kaizhi, Li Qingzhao, Li Bai, Qu Yuan, Tang Xianzu, Cai Lun, Leonardo da Vinci, William Shakespeare, Zu ChongZhi, Francis Bacon, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Napoleon I, Florence Nightingale, Zheng He, Victor Hugo, Lev Nicolayevich Tolstoy, Honore de Balzac, Charles Dickens, the Wright Brothers, Gamow George, Yan Fu, Qi Baishi, Ernest Rutherford, Ludwig von Bertalanffy, Albert Einstein, Tchaikovsky, Sigmund Freud, Claude Elwood Shannon, John von Neumann, Gottlieb Daimler, and James Watt.
