Annotation
J.M. Dickey, Christopher Columbus and his Monument Columbia (1892), p. 279, describes a marble bust existing in 1892. He describes it as 'modeled after the De Bry portrait' and having 'a Dutch cap and garments.' This is obviously not he bust illustrated above.
