The entrance of the Handelsakadmie is flanked by two statues:

Adam Smith (Kirkcaldy, Scotland 1723 - Edinburgh 1790), Scottish moral philosopher and a pioneer of political economy, the founder of 'klass. Nationalökonomie' (Wikipedia).
(right) CH. COLUMBUS, standing, with a map showing the Americas in his left hand, to which he is pointing with his other hand.
(prob. Cogoleto, Republic of Genua, c. 1451 - Valladolid 1506), Italian explorer, who in Spanish service completed four voyages across the Atlantic Ocean that led to general European awareness of America (see Background Information).

The statues are at the entrance of the Handelsakademie I der Wiener Kaufmannschaft. This trade school was built in 1860-62 by Ferdinand Fellner the Elder.
