Estudou em Florença com Ulisse Cambi e em seguida na Academia de Belas Artes com Rivalta e Bortone. é o autor dso monumentos a Garibaldi (1905) em Massa e a Ferrari em Livorno, bem como do monumento a Cristóvão Colombo em La Plata, Argentina. Participou do concurso de projetos para o Monumento da Independência em Buenos Aires, em 1908, obtendo um prêmio. Executou muitos retratos e bustos, dedicando-se também à pequena escultura em bronze.
