Annotation
Commissioned and paid for by Agostino Pedemonte from Genova, an immigrant in Argentina, where he made his fortune. The monument is five meters high. It was unveiled in 8 December 1889.
The caption of the photo above was: 8 de Diciembre de 1889. Acto en el que se inauguró el monumento a Colón en la quinta la "Polvacera", de Don Agustín Pedemonte (8 December 1889. Act in which the monument to Columbus in the villa was inaugurated "Polvacera", of Don Agustín Pedemonte
