Carrara 1787 - Roma 1848
Italian economist, politician and jurist. He was an important figure of the July Monarchy in France, and the Minister of Justice in the government of the Papal States, under Pope Pius IX
Marble statue of Rossi sitting in a chair at a desk. On the pedestal are two marble reliefs, sculpted by Biggi.
The statue was executed on the model made in 1850 by Rossi's friend and fellow citizen as well as famous sculptor Pietro Tenerani.
In 2006 vandals have damaged the reliefs
