Façade sculptures of the Imperial Post Office
Above the side entrances of the post office are two pairs of sandstone statues of professions:
Schiffer / Fisherman
, with a large fish.
Bauer / Farmer
, with a spade and corn.
Schmied / Smith
, with a large hammer and whiping sweat from his forehead.
Schäfer / Shepherd
, with his stick and a dog.
The post office is built in 1902 by the architects Ernst M. Hake and von Rechenberg.
