Mahnmal zum Gedenken an alle Opfer des NationalsozialismusMemorial to all victims of Nazism |
Waldemar Otto
1986 |
The memorial shows the desperate situation of a man, who sees the predominance of a threatening and violent group of man, to whom he is delivered. Human-sized figures stand on a solid base: at one end a torso, a man stripped to the waist, which is clad only in a pair of trousers. His head is lowered, closed his expression. He walks unsteadily, in a curved posture, can hardly stand on his feet, he stumbles, seems to fall, before the tall boots of the closely together standing men in SA and SS uniforms at the other end of the base. With clenched fists and contorted faces they seem to await him, threatening. At their side is an informer, a man with glasses, pointing a finger at the victim.
