Description

On top of the front tympan of the tower of the train station (now museum) are two leaning female figures representing Trade (with Mercurius' staff and cornucopia) and Railways (with a winged train wheel and a feather).
The station is built in 1922 after designs of Caetano Lopes and Luiz Olivieri.
